Smithsonian TechQuest: Race to the Moon 

When: Multiple days from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This free program at the Smithsonian is a STEAM-based alternate reality game that explores the race to space by the first astronauts. Suitable for children ages 10 and up, the game involves launching a rocket, setting a landing course, and landing on the moon.

Peter and the Starcatcher

When: February 2nd & 3rd at 8:00 p.m.

Presented by the Reston Community Players, this play is the grownup prequel to the Peter Pan story, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The production is sure to bring your imagination to life and have you dancing in your seats. Tickets can be purchased for $23 for adults and $20 for seniors and students.

Little Mermaid’s Pollution Solution

When: February 10th at 9:30 a.m.

The Gemini Children’s Theatre presents the story of the Little Mermaid who has returned to the sea only to find that the evil sea witch has polluted the water in an attempt to take over the underwater kingdom. Your children will get to enjoy a fun theater production while simultaneously learning how to protect our planet.
